As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Bhaitbari, from where he was referred to a hospital at Goalpara, Assam.

- A female resident of a locality in Shillong lodged a complaint that on Mar 30, 2025, she received a message on Instagram regarding earning money through Global Financial Customer Service and deposited a total of Rs. 95,000/-. However, later the complainant realized that she has been cheated.
- A female resident of a locality in Shillong lodged a complaint that on Feb 18, 2025, two unidentified miscreants claiming to be HR Assistant of Foxbit Exchange offered her online job and cheated her of Rs. 2.4 lakh.
- Shri B Suchiang, corporate employee of Bharti Hexacomm / Airtel lodged a complaint that on Mar 29, 2025 unknown miscreant(s) stole one alternator, one pump, one self-starter, one DG battery, 60 liters of diesel, one DG harness and copper power cable total amounting to Rs. 1,64,860/- from Umtyra village (EJH).
- Shri P Ksoo lodged a complaint that on Mar 1, 2025 around 5 pm, he lost his licensed SBML gun at Madan Kyndong (WJH).
- On Mar 29 evening, Police received information that residents of Matchimpara village (WGH) apprehended and assaulted one Bangladeshi national viz., Md Jamidul Islam (23 yrs) at the village. During enquiry, it transpired that intruder had illegally entered into India Territory. This refers to Dalu PS Case No. 05/2025 u/s 14a(a)(b) Foreigners Act.

The miscreants also forcibly took away Rs. 2,000/- from the complainant.

- Shri Ngaitlang Dhar lodged a complaint that on Mar 29, it was found that unknown miscreant(s) stole eleven manholes and one large cover valued around Rs. 1.22 lakh from the newly constructed Smart City Road at Lower Lachumiere, Shillong.
- Shri Shardul Kumar lodged a complaint that unknown miscreant(s) set ablaze his motorcycle (ML-05L-3154) near Bijoya Shop at GS Road, Shillong and also caused damage to the aforementioned shop and fled away.
- Shri Fernando Riahtam lodged a complaint that unknown miscreant(s) stole his scooter (ML-05Z-9005) from 2nd Ground Polo, Shillong.
- Insp. Bhageerath of 100th Bn., BSF BOP Ryngku lodged a complaint that acting on inputs, on Mar 29 around 10.45 pm, BSF personnel intercepted three vehicles which were transporting cattle at Zero Point near BP No. 1229 MP (EKH). However, drivers of the vehicles failed to provide any valid documents and it is suspected that the cattle were being illegally smuggled to Bangladesh.

- On Mar 30 night, Police received information about an altercation that took place at Nongmensong Dongkadiang, Shillong. During enquiry, it transpired that the scuffle took place after one jeep collided with a scooter. However, the miscreants fled away from the PO. In the incident, one woman sustained injuries and was shifted to Bethany Hospital, Shillong.
- On Mar 30 circa 8.30 pm, three unidentified miscreants attempted to commit theft at Anjali Parking Lot, Shillong. Later, the miscreants also assaulted one twenty-year-old male person when he intervened into the matter. As a result, the victim sustained minor injuries.
- Shri Clifford Diengdoh lodged a complaint that on (Mar 31) morning, he found that unknown miscreant(s) stole his motorcycle (ML-05M-7975) from Springside, Malki, Shillong. In this connection, Police arrested five persons viz., Timus Warbah (30 yrs), (2) Babar Mawblei (26 yrs), (3) Synraplang Makri (23 yrs), (4) Meaibor Kharryja (26 yrs) and (5) Bakordor Rapmai (24 yrs) and also recovered the stolen motorcycle.

Further on Mar 24 night, the complainant along with the staffs from Babilgre Teak Plantation Centre recovered twelve logs from a nearby jungle at Arigre village (WGH).

- Shri Batskhem Suting informed Police that on Feb 27 around midnight, one of his male staffs viz., Sunai Singh (22 yrs) murdered one of his female staffs viz., Smt. Damonika Laloo (39 yrs) inside Trattoria Restaurant, Central Ward, Barik Lachumiere, Shillong.
- Head Master of Borsing Secondary School Nongpyndeng (WKH) lodged a complaint that on Feb 26 around 9.30 am, it was found that one UPS was missing from the computer room of the school.

- Proprietor, M/s Folhar Agri Solutions at Ambagaon, Udalguri, Assam lodged a complaint that on Mar 18, two persons viz., (1) Amit Roy and (2) Alex in two vehicles (1) Mahindra Thar (AS-01FW-9172) and (2) Maruti Alto (AS-16J-8004), met him at Police Bazar, Shillong and showed interest to invest huge amount of money in his business venture. However, the duo snatched away his mobile phone, valuable documents, took him away and later abandoned him at Dudhnoi (NGH).
- Shri Kynsai Mallai of MLA Hostel, Staff Quarter, Shillong lodged a complaint that on Mar 26 circa 7 pm, security personnel of MLA Hostel apprehended one Rathindra Debbarma, while he was attempting to commit theft from MLA Hostel premises.

- On Mar 25 circa 7.30 pm, residents of Mawpdang village (RB) apprehended two persons viz., (1) Qurenius Muktieh (27 yrs) and (2) Jethril Umbah (32 yrs) suspecting them of committing theft and them handed over to Police. During enquiry, Police recovered / seized (1) suspected dry elephant meat, (2) two country-made fire arms, (3) two torch lights and ten batteries, (4) three knives, (5) one catapult, (6) four crackers, (7) fourteen rounds of country-made ammunition, (8) eighteen small pellets, etc., from their possession.
- Party Commander, F-Coy, 4th Bn., BSF, BOP Muktapur (WJH) lodged a complaint that on Mar 26, BSF personnel recovered twenty-two head of cattle reportedly meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh from a place near BP No. 1286/5RI and also apprehended six persons viz., (1) Wandame Surong (24 yrs), (2) Eras Khaii (29 yrs), (3) Raju Suting (37 yrs), (4) Osward Shylla (41 yrs), (5) Phrangki Surong (25 yrs) and (6) Rich Buam (48 yrs).
- On (Mar 27) around 4 am, unknown miscreant(s) stole one scooter (ML-04E-3318) from Riatsiatsim, Jowai (WJH).
- A male resident of Balal Adugre village under Tura PS (WGH) lodged a complaint that on Mar 26 around 9 pm, three residents of the same village went to his residence with an intention to attack him. Further, the alleged accused persons also attempted to attack the Nokma of the village.

- On Mar 26, acting on inputs, Ampati Police conducted raid at Lutubari village (SWGH) and recovered / seized 2.76 grams of ganja (cannabis) from the possession of two persons viz., (1) Gangadhar Koch @ Gonja (38 yrs) and (2) Dining B Marak (40 yrs).

- On Mar 25 evening, one scrap collector viz., Amit Pradhan (32 yrs), was assaulted with a beer bottle by four other scrap collectors at Police Bazar, Shillong. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.
- Operative Manager, CPGE Hospitality Centre Point, Khyndailad, Shillong lodged a complaint that on Feb 12, 2025, one Dipankar Dhar, checked-out of the hotel and paid the bills by issuing two cheques for Rs. 1,96,258/-. However, the cheques bounced due to disparity in the signatures.
- On (Mar 26) around 2.47 am, Shri Govind informed Police that on the intervening night of Mar 25 & 26, unknown miscreant(s) stole his motorcycle (ML-05AC-7680) from Rilbong, Laban, Shillong. Around 4 am, the motorcycle was recovered from Pynursla (EKH); however, the rider(s) managed to escape.
- Shri Biangbor L Nonglait of Pyndengnongbri village (EWKH) lodged a complaint that on Mar 24 morning, he was informed that unknown miscreant(s) broke into Tiehnongbah Secondary School and stole cash Rs. 45,000/-.
- Smt. Daira Kharkylliang lodged a complaint that on Mar 24 at about 1 pm, unknown miscreant(s) stole three mobile phones, women apparels and cash Rs. 1,500/- from her house at Ksehkohmoit Diwah (EWKH).
- On Mar 24 morning, acting on inputs, Police intercepted one Tata Sumo (AS-01EC-3528) driven by Fazal Hoque at Byrnihat (RB) along with eleven Bangladeshi nationals viz., (1) Saja Uddin (26 yrs), (2) Smt. Kakali Sardar (36 yrs), (3) Smt. Hirina Dili Mulla (30 yrs), (4) Smt. Unjilla Sadar (32 yrs), (5) Smt. Rabia Begum (37 yrs), (6) Smt. Panna Kamal Hassain (42 yrs), (7) Smt. Poppy Husa Mollah (26 yrs), (8) Smt. Sonia Shaikh (24 yrs), (9) Smt. Sobha Islam (28 yrs), (10) one fifteen-year-old minor girl and (11) one seven-year-old minor boy. During enquiry, it transpired that the abovementioned Bangladeshi nationals had illegally entered into Indian Territory and had been residing in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Further, the intruders had travelled from Mumbai to Guwahati by train, on being facilitated by one Sukur Jabar Sheikh and were proceeding towards Dawki border, reportedly with an intention to cross over to Bangladesh.

- A male resident of a locality in Shillong lodged a complaint that on Jan 27, 2025 one Pijush Mali, (Businessman / HVAC dealer of M/s Spectrum HVAC, Assam) cheated him in a deal to supply Air Conditioner (AC).
- Shri Chubat Jediel D Sangma lodged a complaint that on Mar 20, unknown miscreant(s) broke into his residence at Lumiablot Block-B, Shillong and stole cash Rs. 30,000/-, one Laptop and one mobile phone.

- A male resident of a locality in Tura (WGH) lodged a complaint that on Mar 7, in a deal to purchase iron rods, he transferred Rs. 5,98,686/- to one Bank account belonging to one anonymous caller, who claimed to be a representative of one steel shop viz., ‘M/s Steel Authority of India Ltd.,’ at Paltan Bazar, Kamrup Metropolitan, Assam. However, later, he realized that he has been cheated.
- Smt. Moni Rekha Hajong lodged a complaint that on the night of Mar 18, 2025, unknown miscreant(s) stole nine Solar plates valued around Rs. 1.08 lakh, installed at Tombolagre (SWGH) under JJM scheme.
- A resident of West Garo Hills lodged a complaint that one of his employees stole (1) timbers, (2) bricks, (3) livestock (two pigs and four goats), (4) solar lamps, (5) solar plates and one scooter (ML-08E-8088) belonging to him from Asibra (WGH).

As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Ampati from where he was referred to CH Tura. Later, the accused person surrendered himself at Monabari OP (SWGH).

- On Mar 19, BSF personnel intercepted one Tata Sumo vehicle (ML-05F-8640) driven by Mithun Das (27 yrs) along with one Sunil Bishwas (22 yrs) at Ichamati Junction, Tyllap (EKH) and recovered huge quantity of artificial jewelries, blankets and ‘bidis’ from the vehicle, without any documents to justify the same. Later, the duo along with the vehicle and recovered items were handed over to Custom Office at Shella (EKH).
- On Mar 18, BSF personnel of BOP Dangar along with Custom officials from Dangar (EKH) conducted joint MCP at Bagli Junction under Dangar OP (EKH) and detained three Bolero pick-up vehicles which were transporting (1) 120 numbers of Puchka (Pinkoo), (2) 190 cartons of Puchka (Zayco) and (3) thirty-eight bags of Jeera (20 Kg each bag) without any documents to justify the same. Later, the seized items were handed over to Custom officials at Dangar (EKH).
- Smt. Julia Lalthlananawmi lodged a complaint that on Mar 19 afternoon, unknown miscreant(s) broke into her residence at Lapalang Dong Madan, Shillong and stole four mobile phones, mobile charger and cash Rs. 2,000/-.

- Shri Loukas Rani and Shri Kedrak Syngkli of Nongrilong village (EWKH), jointly lodged (Mar 17) a complaint against one Sikrul Rani alleging him of creating nuisance in the village for several years and also for forcibly taking the sand which they have collected for house construction. Further, the complainants cautioned that if action is not initiated against the person, anything could occur between the villagers and the alleged accused person.

- On Mar 18 around 4.10 pm, acting on inputs, Police conducted checking at Byrnihat (RB) and detained one vehicle (AS-01FJ-4645) driven by Raushan Khan along with one female occupant who identified herself as one Smt. Jannat Mondal. The woman also produced one suspected forged Aadhaar card. Later, it transpired that the real name of the woman is Smt. Jannat Sheikh (26 yrs) and she also admitted that she is a Bangladeshi national. Further, the foreign national could not produce any valid documents.

- Miss Barisha Rymbai lodged a complaint that on Mar 17, unknown miscreant(s) broke into her residence at Pynthorbah Block-II, Shillong and stole one laptop, ATM card and several valuable documents.
- Shri Pynshailang Syiemlieh lodged a complaint that on Mar 8 circa 11.59 pm, he received an anonymous phone, wherein the caller claimed to be Police personnel from Tura, West Garo Hills and offered to sell his Maruti 800 car (ML-05E-1382). Following this, the complainant bought the vehicle for Rs. 76,998/- and was promised to deliver the vehicle on Mar 10, 2025 at Mawlai Petrol Pump, Shillong. However, the complainant did not receive the vehicle till date.
- Shri Romeo Nongkhlaw lodged a complaint that on the intervening night of Mar 17 & 18, unknown miscreant(s) stole his motorcycle (ML-05V-4465) from his residential premises at Rangbihbih Mylliem (EKH).

- Miss Mrinmoyee Hazarika lodged a complaint that on Mar 18, unknown miscreant(s) broke into her residence at Nongthymmai, Shillong and stole three mobile phones, valuable documents and cash Rs. 3,000/-.
- Shri Anshit Kakkar lodged a complaint that on Mar 5, he found that unknown miscreant(s) stole FRC cables total valued around Rs. 69,000 from Lumshatsngi, Kench’s Trace, Laban, Shillong.
- Shri Sahed Ali of Kasari pump, Boko, Kamrup, Assam, reported (Mar 18) that some unidentified miscreants abducted his driver viz., Shri Mojid Ali along with vehicle (AS-01PC-1152) from Shangbangla (RB). Later, Police recovered the vehicle and also the driver from Quinine (RB) and Dulongnar (RB), respectively. During enquiry, it transpired that while Shri Sahed Ali and his driver were proceeding to Dawki to purchase raw betel nuts, unidentified miscreants in one Ashok Leyland truck waylaid their vehicle at Shangbangla (RB) and robbed them of Rs. 3 lakhs.

Deceased was reportedly missing from his work place, since Mar 9, 2025. In this connection, Police arrested one Seinlangki Tariang (34 yrs).
- A male resident of Haripur village lodged a complaint that on Mar 14 around 9 am, five individuals from Haripur village (WGH) attacked three residents of the same village with iron rods.
- Shri Joyonto Ch Sangma lodged a complaint that on Mar 4 at about 4.10 pm, one auto-rickshaw (ML-08K-5616) driven by Tiodat M Sangma, dashed against his car (ML-08K-7342) at PT Sangma Road (WGH) and fled away. Later, Police detained the fleeing auto-rickshaw and its driver. The complainant further stated that auto-rickshaw driver failed to pay for the repair of the damaged car, as per agreement.
- Dr. Editha W Momin lodged a complaint that on Mar 14, one fraudster viz., Suman Saha, who identified himself as an employee of Abisa Pharmacy, took blood sample of the patients at Tura Christian Hospital (WGH) on the pretext of medical test and also charged Rs. 4,000/- for the same. However, later it transpired that the aforementioned Pharmacy did not authorize anyone for the same and that Suman Saha is not an employee of Abisa Pharmacy.
- A resident of a locality in Tura (WGH) lodged a complaint that in the month of April, 2020, he took part in ‘KBC’ by sending SMS and in the meantime time, he received an anonymous phone call wherein the caller identified himself as one Keshan Kumar, Manager of ‘KBC’ and informed him that he won a prize of Rs. 25 lakh for correctly answering the question in the show. The complainant was further asked to pay several taxes in order to receive the winning amount. Later, in July, 2022, the complainant went to Mumbai and met one Vijay Kumar and others, who convinced him that they are from ‘KBC’ and transferred Rs. 8 lakhs to the A/c numbers provided by them. However, till the time of filing of the FIR, the complainant has not received the prize money.
- Coy-Commander, E-Coy, 22nd Bn., BSF, BOP Jatrakona (SGH) lodged a complaint that on Mar 14 circa 12.05 am, BSF personnel apprehended three suspected Bangladeshi nationals viz., (1) Faysal Miah, (2) Md. Najir Miah and (3) Md. Suhal Miah, while they were traveling from Mahendraganj (SWGH) for Baghmara (SGH) in a bus, without valid documents. Later, the intruders were handed over to Police.

- Three women from West Garo Hills jointly lodged a complaint that on Feb 26, 2026, one of the complainants received an anonymous phone call, wherein the caller claimed to be an employee of Mahatma Gandhi University and asked the complainants to pay their semester fees through QR Code, which he later shared through WhatsApp. Following this, the complainants separately paid a total amount of Rs. 50,000/-. However, on Mar 6, the complainants realized that they have been cheated.

Subsequently, on Mar 4 around 9 pm, residents of the village apprehended one Larilang Riahtam, while he was attempting to steal one head of cattle belonging to Smt. Meti Khongsit. However, three of his accomplices managed to escape.

In this regard, the unknown message senders cheated her of 30,000/-on three different occasions. Further, the anonymous message senders asked her to deposit Rs. 63,000/- to which she refused. Later, the complainant realized that she has been cheated.

- Shri Simseng R Marak lodged a complaint that between Feb 28, 2025 and Mar 3, unknown miscreant(s) stole his motorcycle (ML-08D-9058) from Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
- A resident of Umsohsun, Shillong lodged a complaint that on Mar 3 at about 11.30 am, he detained one individual, while he was trespassing into his residential compound and also recovered stolen clothes from his possession.

- A resident of a locality in East Garo Hills lodged a complaint that on Jan 13, 2025, one Sandeep Rabha of Bolaikamal, Goalpara, Assam, cheated him by filling up his own Bank account number, etc., instead of his (complainant) in the ‘Google AdSence account’, while resolving some technical issues arisen in his YouTube channel ‘Garo Mix’ and also withdrew of $106 (Rs. 8,000/- approx).

- On Feb 27 evening, acting on inputs, Police intercepted one Maruti Suzuki vehicle (ML-05AA-6829) along with one occupant viz., Rajat Paul (29 yrs) at Mawdiangum NH-6 (RB) and recovered three soap cases containing 36.03 grams of suspected heroin from his bag.
